Italy Visa Information
Citizens of full European (EFTA, EEA) Member Countries are able to live and work in Italy without a visa or work permit.
Non EU nationals wishing to live and work in Italy must apply for a work permit or Italy Working Holiday Visa.Work permits must be applied for by the employer.
Italy is a member of the Schengen countries. The 15 Schengen countries are: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Greece, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain and Sweden. With a Schengen visa, you may enter one country and travel freely throughout the Schengen zone.
Nationals of some other countries can visit Italy for up to three months without a visa, these are listed at the website of the Italian Ministry Of Foreign Affairs
